The broth was so good! I would go back just for that. I was a little upset that my egg roll came out cold and they paid little to now attention to us. But to be fair they were very full! I would go there again. The price is just right and the flavor is on point. My bb loved it too.
Pho 33 is my go to pho place! Seriously, if you want good pho, go here! If you like ox tail, get that one, but I enjoy the bbq ribs alternative one better. Sometimes I'll get the combo pho! They also have good bun dish! I usually get chicken/pork with egg roll. The egg rolls are big but, of course, they cut it up for the dish. Might amount to 1 egg roll only though. Sometimes it is busy. You have to write your name on the wait list at the door. Depends who is working, but usually there's the one guy who will seat you fairly quick. And if he takes your orders, he's quick. So if you know what you want when you sit down, you can tell him right away.
I hadn't been to Pho 33 before, either in their old location or their new one in South Salt Lake. And until I saw it on Yelp, I didn't know it existed. But after a great bowl of Pho yesterday, it's a place I won't soon skip. The pho here comes in three sizes; the small bowl is the one for which the price is listed on the menu. The server asked "what size?", and I really didn't know what options I had. She pointed toward the checkout counter and told me to look up. There were some bowls perched on a ledge pretty high up and since I was pretty far away, I couldn't really tell the actual capacity of each. So, I ordered a medium bowl of the combination pho, which I later found out added $1.75 to the base cost. The service was really fast and the bowl was on my table within 4 to 5 minutes. There was so much meat! And the broth was nice and flavorful too. The medium bowl was like a large bowl at most other places so I was happy with the size. I had no issues with the staff who were all professional. The interior is quite spartan with little to keep the eye busy while sitting at your table. But the food certainly made jk for any lack of decor and will certainly draw me back again, I assume, quite soon to what is one of the top pho places in the Salt Lake City area.
I was a bit hesitant to drive deep into SLC for Pho 33, but it really wasn't bad at all. It was super easy to find the restaurant, there was ample parking, and the restaurant was spacious. I loved the overall vibe of the restaurant. Simple, spacious, and clean. I get the hype now. This is one of the best, most flavorful pho I've had in all of SLC. The portions were huge. I've never taken home leftover pho before. Like ever, in my life. Their large is +$3, but it lasted me 2 meals. It was delicious, and there was a good amount of meat. Staff was nice and the prices are competitive. I will definitely be returning!
I usually go here when I'm too lazy to drive to Pho 777 truthfully, but it does the trick when I'm craving Pho and don't want to drive. They serve it in a pretty big bowl but it feels a bit hollow with not enough noodles/protein with how big the bowl is. Broth is 3.8/5 for me and is pretty consistent so that's a good thing. Service is similar to those pho shops back in Orange County where you're there to eat and not for the service - which I am completely fine with and used to having grown up in OC. However, I think it may be a little stark or something Utahns or non-asian patrons may be used to. It's a fairly big place so I can see things getting lost in the fray when they are busy.
Personal experience: We had to wait around 30 minutes during their rush hour and not much seating while you wait but over all I loved the decor in the waiting area. Food: I'm not much a Pho fan but this place made me change my mind and their choices are the best! The soup and pho noodles were well done that we don't wait too long for our food! Service: The service here was wonderful and really helpful staff! Recommend coming here!
Overall impression they are still doing great super hyper efficient. You don't come here for like amazing personality in terms of Customer Service and that's totally OK with me you come here for efficiency and delicious food and reasonable prices. Average price $11-$15
I'm surprised I haven't updated my review here since I'm here almost every pay day! Pho here is the best in town and highly recommend it. I invite all of my friends and family who come visit me to this restaurant for pho and the agree that it's really good! I typically order the pho with meatballs, rare steak, and brisket. It's my go to and I'll try their famous pho 33 with oxtail one of these days. I always get fried potstickers too and it's amazing! There's so much meat inside and that alone is amazing! Their rice combo plates are really good too! I enjoy the pork chop with the fried egg.
Came when it wasn't too busy. We were seated within minutes. This was our first time here. I got the combination stir fry. I thought it was pretty good. Little on the oily end but I liked it overall. I wished I could have had more charsil it seemed like there was only a piece or so. My husband got the ox tail pho. He liked the broth but the noodle to soup ratio was bad. There was so much noodles it soaked up all the broth and made the noodles hard to eat. Service was okay over all. The place was big which was nice not having to feel crammed.
